The University Community Pharmacy and Faculty of Pharmacy’s Division of Social Pharmacy collaborated with Shiba Daijingu, a shrine located near the university, to hold in their prayer hall free health events aimed at local residents. Visitors were assisted by a pharmacist in various checkups, such as measuring their glucose and lipid levels using a blood sample from their fingertips and checking for cavities and periodontal disease using their saliva. Participants would then receive an explanation of their measurement results from the pharmacist. During the event, pharmacy students were in charge of guiding visitors. Through this event, the goal was to raise the health awareness of local residents and contribute to extending their healthy life expectancy.
