Using electricity data for Nobeoka City in Miyazaki Prefecture provided by the Secured Meter Data Sharing Association, this project created a map where users can visualize electricity supply and demand at the city block level. Through this project there were also interviews conducted with the Nobeoka City Decarbonization Policy Office to learn about how the map can be used and what value it offers. In addition, interviews were conducted to understand the current status and challenges in using the “Nobeoka City Decarbonization App,” a smartphone application developed by the city, discussing how data can be linked to solve these challenges and behavioral change of residents toward decarbonized lifestyles.
