In collaboration with the town of Daisen in Tottori Prefecture and the Keio SFC Research Institute, the research group under Professor Masatoshi Tamamura from the Faculty of Policy Management has been conducting R&D on regional revitalization in Daisen. Continuing from AY 2019, graduate students and senior researchers from the SFC Research Institute have been conducting research in-residence in Daisen. They have been engaged in advancing R&D, which includes developing a “weekend resident model” that serves to build relationships with future professionals in depopulated areas.

detailsIn November 2019, Chizu Town (Tottori Prefecture) and the Keio Research Institute at SFC concluded a collaboration and cooperation agreement for research and development on regional revitalization. A research group led by Professor Masatoshi Tamamura of the Faculty of Policy Management jointly developed the "Chizu Town busybody scholarship package" that supports senior high school and university students from Chizu Town, and Chizu Town began accepting applications for the scholarship in December 2019 and SFC continuing support the research activities.
