Shizuoka Prefecture "advanced agriculture project"

From our base in Shizuoka Prefecture AOI-PARC, we are advancing research and development in agriculture-related fields utilizing ICT and advanced technology, while utilizing next-generation cultivation systems to facilitate the safe and secure, low-cost, and high-performance development of new strains of agricultural products and investigating efficient production methods. We are meanwhile promoting scientific verification to establish evidence regarding the functionality of agricultural product-derived ingredients toward the development of high-performance foods, aiming for health and longevity.
TPOCast, a smartphone application which records a farmer’s agricultural works, was developed in the 2021 academic year. The examination of associations between growing conditions for plants and their GABA content suggested that temperature would affect GABA content in Arabidopsis. The research outcome presentations for the project in the 2021 academic year took place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 13:00 to 17:15, via venue-based lectures (Plaza Verde, Numazu City) and live streams, with reports including that on “Research activities in AY 2021 AOI Project.”
