SDGs

Collaboration project to promote regional revitalization with Saitama Prefecture Hanno City.

Keio’s activities in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture, have continued for 10 years since an agreement was signed in 2015 to promote regional revitalization. In AY 2024, workshops were held in various locations using a game developed in 2022, titled “Chihō Sōsei: the Idea Generation Game (Hanno, Saitama edition).” (“Chihō Sōsei” is a play on words combining the characters for “regional revitalization” and “thinking up ideas.”) Due in large part to this game being donated to the Hanno City Board of Education in 2023, the game was utilized in elementary and junior high schools in AY 2024. The photo shows an example of how it was used in a class of 30 students at Hanno West Junior High School.
